Limeproof Primer
For use with Portola Paints Lime Wash Finish

Portola’s Limeproof Undercoat was created for use with Portola’s Lime Wash and is designed to help achieve a more consistent appearance and uniform absorption of Lime Wash. Portola’s Limeproof Undercoat can be used over previously painted interior and exterior surfaces. This is an acrylic primer made with 100% acrylic resin and formulated exclusively for Portola Paints.

These square footage estimates are based on the average to include two coats of coverage. 

• 1 Quart (40-50 sq ft)
• 1 Gallon (150-200 sq ft)
• 5 gallon (800-1000 sq ft)

Portola Paints All Purpose and Limeproof Undercoat Primer can both be applied in the same fashion. It can be applied using a brush, roller or even sprayed onto the surface. The most common application for both would be rolled onto the surface.

It is always best to apply two coats of appropriate primer with a ⅜ to ½ nap roller for primer to ensure the best possible primer coat for the corresponding finish.

Store and keep out of reach of children. As with all paints it is important to protect yourself by wearing protective eye wear and masks during preparatory work such as scraping and sanding. During application, use protective eye wear as it can irritate the eyes.
